AUGUST EVENTS
Butterfly Gap will play again at the Square Bean Coffee Company on the town square in Collierville, TN on Friday, August 22nd. Join us from 6:00 to 8:00. Bring your instrument... we might do a little jammin' later!

Butterfly Gap will play for the seniors at Audobon Park Baptist Church on August 21st.
In October, we will be participating in the Concert Series at Second Baptist Church.
PAST EVENTS & PROGRAMS
Butterfly Gap (Lee & Betty) played an informal porch gig /jam at the Shelby Forest General Store on Sunday, May 4th... from 1:00 to 3:00. A good number of folks brought their instruments and played along. GREAT FUN !
Butterfly Gap played prelude music for the Methodist Hospice Service of Remembrance, December 2nd at St. John's UMC .
On December 6, Betty played Christmas carols and lead the Prayer Circle for patients and staff at the West Clinic on Union Avenue.
On December 13, Betty led an Advent Meditation Service and played Christmas music at Church Health Center's Hope & Healing Center.
A Group Lesson on Hammered Dulcimer was offered at Singleton Community Center, December 1st. We learned several Christmas songs. Several new students attended and plan to continue with lessons. A couple purchased new instruments.
Butterfly Gap performed Christmas music programs:
December 11th--at Lindenwood Christian Church for the Disciples Womens' Luncheon.
December 14th--for the Colonial Baptist Church Choir dinner.
January Gathering 2008
Betty taught beginning hammered dulcimers classes and performed at the concert.
February 2008
Betty led the prayer service and played music at the Church Health Center's Hope & Healing Center. One of Betty's students, Kara Kilpatrick, made her public performing debut, accompanied by her husband, Jeno Smith. They played a selection of favorite hymns.
March 2008
On March 28th Betty held the first of what will hopefully be a series of house jams. It was well attended and we are learning the "art of playing together."
June and July 2008
Betty is teaching HD classes in the Continuing Education program at Southwest Tennessee Community College. (See Lessons page)
